Making A Purchase

Making a purchase is easy: browse the store, add items to your cart, then checkout and provide the details we need to complete your order.

We accept all major credit/debit cards and PayPal. Paying online is the quickest and easiest way to pay.

Payment Timing: We take payment immediately at the point of order. Out-of-stock items cannot be ordered. In the rare event of a stock error, we will contact you promptly and issue a full refund.

Chargebacks: If you issue a frivolous chargeback, you will receive an invoice for £24.99 to cover the costs incurred by us in dealing with the chargeback.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, please contact us and we will correct the mistake where possible.

When confirmation of your order is received, this indicates that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will confirm acceptance of your order when we dispatch the goods. We include this term to protect us in the event of a pricing error or if we are unable to supply a product for any reason. If there is a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Delivery Schedule

We only ship within the United Kingdom.

Orders received before midday (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays) will normally be dispatched the same working day for delivery on the following working day. Orders received after midday will generally be dispatched the next working day, for delivery the working day after that. Some couriers (e.g., Royal Mail) may deliver on Saturdays or Sundays.

Please note that this delivery schedule may be subject to change without notice and is not guaranteed.

We will provide tracking information (where applicable) when your order is dispatched. If you supply a mobile phone number, you may also receive SMS updates from the courier.

You must inform us within 10 days from the date of dispatch if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim and resolve the issue. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by the courier is sufficient evidence that goods have been received.

Back Orders

We do not accept back orders. You can use the stock notification option to receive an alert when a product comes back into stock.

Tax Charges

VAT at the prevailing rate is included in prices shown on the site where applicable.

Credit Card Security

Payments are processed by trusted Payment Service Providers (PSPs) that are PCI DSS Level 1 compliant (the highest security standard).

PayPal is also available as a payment option and is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant.

Delivery/Returns Info

Delivery

Delivery to UK Mainland addresses costs £4.99.

Remote Area Surcharges apply for Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Highlands & Islands of Scotland, and the Channel Islands. Contact us for more information.

We do not ship outside the United Kingdom.

Returns & Refunds

We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If this is not the case, please feel free to return your purchase.

  1. You must inform us of any returns within 14 days. You can do this by emailing sales@wellies.com
  2. You then have a further 14 days in which you have to return your purchase
  3. We do not operate a free returns service. For a straight-forward return. You have 2 options:
    1. We can send you the link to our DPD self serve returns portal. The cost for this is £4.99 which will be taken from your refund once the return is received and processed.
    2. You can send the parcel back yourself at your own cost. 
  4. If you require a size swap, you have 2 options:
    1. We can arrange both journeys for the boots i.e. your return and the correct size being shipped out. The charge for this is £9.99.
    2. You can send the boots back at your own cost. Once received back, we will be in touch to request a payment of £4.99 for the new size being sent out.
  5. The boots must be returned:
    1. In the original packaging, including the product packaging and the shipping packaging.
    2. Unworn; obviously you can try the boots on in your home. But soiled boots will be returned to you at your expense.
  6. If the boots are faulty, then contact us for information on how to return your boots.

Christmas Returns

For wellies bought between 1st November & 31st December, we operate an extended returns period whereby you have up until the 15th January to return your purchase. However, you can only return your purchase for either a size swap or store credit. If you want to return your purchase for a refund, you must notify us of your request within 14 days of the purchase date (so for refunds, our usual returns policy applies).

Warranty Information

LIMITED WARRANTY

Wellies.com, wholly owned by Wellies Limited, warrants (the “Limited Warranty”) to the original end customer that its Muds and Racefield brand footwear (the “Footwear”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six months from the date of purchase. This Limited Warranty is the only warranty provided by Wellies.com in relation to the Footwear and may only be modified in writing by Wellies.com.

In the event of a defect covered by this warranty, Wellies.com will, at its sole discretion, and as your exclusive remedy, either repair or replace the Footwear, or refund the purchase price. Any repaired or replaced Footwear will be covered only for the remaining period of the original warranty.

EXCLUSIONS

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, accidents, fire, or other hazards

  • Use of the Footwear in a manner not intended by the manufacturer

  • Improper storage or maintenance

  • Chemical or foreign substance exposure

  • Alterations, repairs, or modifications not carried out by Wellies.com

  • Improper fit

COMMERCIAL USE EXCLUSION

Our Muds and Racefield boots are designed for everyday and leisure use. They are not intended for commercial or industrial environments, including activities that involve high-frequency or intensive wear. This includes, but is not limited to, professions such as dog walking, agricultural work, or other occupations where boots are worn for extended periods or in challenging conditions on a daily basis.

Use of the Footwear for such commercial purposes falls outside the scope of this warranty.
